Are you a young creative who has always wanted to get into journalism? or know a friend or someone that does? AGBARA magazine is an African magazine based in the DC area that is constantly looking for fresh, new, and innovative contributors. If you are a team player, journalist, blogger, or simply a lover of Africa, we want you to be part of the team. 

Submit your writing for an oppurtunity to featured today. Agbara allows your writing to be published and read to a worldwide audience. Hopefully one day, you can take this experience and be a writer for your favorite major newspaper handle like the Huffington Post or New York Times. 

In order to apply to be a writer you must be between the ages of 13-27. Our application reviews are thorough, so if not selected, you can try again at any later time. We will get back to you in a timely manner, in 7 days to two weeks of your submission of your application (if you are selected). There is no deadline for this application and it is continuous. We accept all people regardless of race, sex or gender,or country (we accept writers from all over the world). But it should be known there is no compensation, this is straight volunteer work.

You get to have a chance to have published work at a young age. 
Your articles will be seen by thousands of people, with a chance to be shared to the whole world. 
It looks good on your resume and is great for your college or future applications, and furthermore can be used for invaluable experience.

You can write about anything you want! We don’t restrict your creative freedom and encourage you to explore your creative capabilities!
